How do I join my student's class in Seesaw?

Families can connect to Seesaw using the internet at app.seesaw.me or by downloading the Seesaw Family App (iOS or Android). To join your students' class you will need to be invited by their teacher via email, text, or link. Contact your student's teacher to be invited to their class.

¿Cómo me uno a la clase de mi estudiante en Seesaw?

Las familias pueden conectarse a Seesaw usando Internet en app.seesaw.me o descargando la aplicación Seesaw Family (iOS o Android). What can I do after I join my student's class?

Families can add voice or text comments to student work completed by their student.

To add a comment, go to Notifications in the family app and tap the post you would like to comment on. At the bottom of the post you can leave a voice or text comment for your student.

Families only have access to their child’s journal. They can see student work tagged with their child’s name and posts the teacher tags with “Everyone.” Families will also be able to see comments made by any user on their child’s journal posts.

How do I add another student to my Family Account?

Once that student's teacher has sent you an invite to their class via link, text message or email:

Sign into the app and follow the prompts.

Can we access Seesaw on a phone or tablet?

Families use a different app to access Seesaw than students.

Families use the Seesaw Family App or app.seesaw.me on a computer.

Students use the Seesaw Class App or seesaw.me on a computer.

I speak a language other than English, how can I interact with my student's class?

Teachers and families can now translate Seesaw content into over 55 languages!

If a note, caption, comment, announcement or message is written in a language that is different from the language of a family's or teacher’s device, a “See Translation” option appears below the post. Tap “See Translation” and Seesaw automatically translates any text into your native language. Students do not have access to this feature.

How can I message my student's teacher in Seesaw?

You can message your child’s teacher once he or she has sent you a message. Family members are not currently able to message teachers before the teacher has sent the first message.

1. In the Seesaw Family app, tap ‘Inbox’.
2. Select a message from the teacher, and then write your message in the box at the bottom of the screen.
3. To add an attachment, tap the blue Add button. You can select from any of Seesaw’s Creative Tools to add to a message: a photo, video, drawing, link, note or a file from your computer or Drive.

¿Cómo puedo enviarle un mensaje al maestro de mi estudiante en Seesaw?

Puede enviarle un mensaje al maestro de su hijo una vez que él o ella le haya enviado un mensaje. Los miembros de la familia actualmente no pueden enviar mensajes a los maestros antes de que el maestro haya enviado el primer mensaje.
